Explanation text
is a text to provide a clear explanation. Usually, explanatory texts contain explanations of social, natural or cultural phenomena.
The Structure Explanation Text consists of four parts, namely title, general statement, explanation, and conclusion.
linguistic characteristics of explanation text!
Focuses on general or common things, by explaining natural phenomena or social events. Using material and relational verbs. In sentences or paragraphs, use temporal and causal conjunctions. For example if, if, then, before, first, and then.
Steps to Compose Explanation Text
1. Determine an interesting topic. Determine the natural, social or cultural phenomenon you want to present.
2. Create a text outline design.
3. Collect references.
4.Developing text.
5. Editing text
The function of facts in explanation text is to strengthen the authenticity or truth of the message conveyed by the text. Facts explain the causes and effects explained in the explanation text.
The purpose of writing this text is to tell the reader about how something works or why something happens.
